About UniCred

We built a digital credential platform because a certificate should never need a phone call to prove it's real

Every year, millions of degrees, licenses, and training certificates get questioned, delayed, or faked. We built UniCred, a blockchain-backed digital credential platform, to fix that one problem properly, so proof of achievement stops depending on paperwork and starts depending on something nobody can quietly alter.

Paper certificate transforming into a verified digital credential

Why we started UniCred

Most people don't think about certificates until one gets questioned.

A registrar gets a call about a degree issued years ago. An HR manager waits three days for a university to confirm someone's transcript. A citizen loses a training certificate and has to reapply for a program they already completed. None of these are rare stories. They happen every day, across colleges, companies, and government offices, and they all come down to the same root problem: certificates were built to be printed, not verified.

We didn't start UniCred because blockchain sounded interesting. We started it because the people responsible for issuing credentials, registrars, HR teams, compliance officers, program administrators, kept describing the same frustration in different words. Verification took too long. Fraud was too easy. And once one fake certificate slipped through, it cast doubt on every real one an institution had ever issued.

That's the gap UniCred exists to close.

What we do

UniCred is a digital credential platform built for issuing tamper-proof degrees, licenses, training certificates, and badges. Institutions use it to replace paper-based and PDF certificates with credentials that verify themselves in seconds.

Every credential issued through UniCred is backed by a permanent, unchangeable record. That means a university offering a digital degree certificate, a government department running a national academic verification system, or a company managing an employee credential verification platform can issue proof once, and anyone who receives it can confirm it's genuine instantly. No phone calls. No email chains. No waiting on someone else's inbox.

We work with universities managing thousands of graduates a year, government bodies running large-scale training and licensing programs, enterprises verifying candidates and issuing internal certifications, and EdTech platforms issuing course completions through a micro-credential platform built for stackable learning. The details differ by industry. The core problem we solve doesn't.

How we think about this problem

We built UniCred around a few ideas that don't change, no matter which industry we're working with.

Trust shouldn't depend on a phone call

If verifying a credential requires contacting the issuer directly, the system has already failed at scale. We design for blockchain degree verification and license checks that work instantly, without anyone standing by to answer questions.

The technology should stay in the background

Nobody issuing a degree or a training certificate wants to think about blockchain. They want to know their certificates can't be faked and that anyone can check them easily. We handle the technical part so institutions can focus on their actual work.

Ownership belongs to the person who earned it

A graduate, a certified employee, or a licensed professional should be able to access their own credentials for life, not just for as long as an institution keeps its records organized. We built UniCred so recipients keep permanent access, independent of any single system staying online forever.

Scale shouldn't break the system

Whether an organization issues fifty certificates a year or fifty thousand, the process should work the same way. We built UniCred to handle volume without asking teams to hire more staff just to keep up.

Why organizations trust UniCred

Built specifically for credentialing, not adapted from something else

UniCred wasn't repurposed from a generic document tool. Every feature, from bulk issuance to revocation to QR verification, was built around how institutions actually issue and manage digital certificates.

Designed around real compliance needs

We built UniCred as a UGC compliant digital certificate system from the ground up, with AICTE digital credential issuance and NAAC documentation standards factored into how records are structured, so digital certificates hold up during accreditation and regulatory review.

No black box

Every credential issued through UniCred carries a clear, checkable record. We don't ask institutions or recipients to simply trust the system. We give them a way to verify it themselves, every time, including for cross-border degree verification when a credential needs to travel beyond India.

Built to fit existing workflows

UniCred connects to the systems institutions already use, from student information systems to HRMS platforms to learning management systems, through straightforward API integration. Switching to UniCred doesn't mean replacing everything else first.

Our approach to security and data

Every credential issued through UniCred is backed by a record that can't be secretly altered after the fact. That's what makes a tamper-proof digital certificate actually tamper-proof, not just a claim on a landing page.

Just as important is what stays private. Personal and academic data is encrypted and access-controlled. Only the finalized, issued certificate content is anchored for verification purposes. Institutions retain ownership of their underlying records. We built it this way because trust in a credentialing platform depends as much on what stays protected as on what gets verified.

Who we work with

Each industry has its own pressures and its own compliance standards. Our platform adapts to that, without asking any of them to change how they already teach, train, hire, or certify.

Where we're headed

Digital credentials are becoming the default, not the exception. As more institutions move away from paper, the question stops being whether to digitize and starts being whether the system they choose can actually be trusted at scale.

We're building UniCred to be the answer to that question. Not the flashiest credentialing tool on the market, but the one that institutions, employers, and recipients can rely on without a second thought.
